Understanding the icons on Imaging PVR

The What do the icons mean on Imaging PVR? is also called the toolbar.  It's at the top of the screen under the top Menu bar.  If you don't see any top menu or toolbar, take the mouse to the top of the screen and the toolbar and menu bar will appear. 

Switch between the Menu bar and the toolbar  by selecting Imaging PVR showing full screen off / on.

Play     Play  

pause     Pause live TV or recordings  .

stop     Stop playing

Trash bin.     Delete

Select an item then click on the bin.  Deleted items cannot be restored from the computer recycle bin.  This is because of the large size of video files. 

Jump back 4 min     Jump back 4 minutes

Jump back 30 sec     Jump back 30 seconds

Jump back 10 sec     Jump back 10 seconds.

Jump forward 10 sec     Jump forward 10 seconds.

Jump forward 30 sec     Jump forward 30 seconds.

Jump forward 4 minutes     Jump forward 4 minutes (the length of most adverts on UK TV.)

Channel up      Previous channel

Channel down      Next channel

Show library      Show  library where the recordings are stored.

EPG      Electronic Programme Guide - EPG

Timed recording      Set a timed recording

Instant record      Instant record on your TV 

Hibernate      Hibernate the computer after the programme is finished.

Now and Next icon      Now and Next bar

Volume up      Volume up

Volume down      Volume down

Mute sound      Turn on mute

Sound off      Sound is muted.  Click to turn the sound on again.

Imaging PVR showing full screen off / on     Switch on and off the top text menu (File, View, Setup etc).  This leaves the icon menu showing.

Other icons used in the program

Favourite television channels      Favourite television channels.  You don't need to set these.  Imaging PVR detects your favourite channels and places them top of the channel list with a heart beside them.

On top      On top

Keep Imaging PVR on top of all other programs open on the computer.  This is very useful when watching mini size and working on your computer.

Not on top     Not on top

Radio     Radio

Browse     Browse

Browse for video, sound files or pictures on your pc.  You don't often need this.  Recordings go directly into the Show library.  Imaging PVR detects video on the computer and prompts you to add these to the show library
